Tabitha's Tag Card

Just a little keepsake for Matthew's teacher--- Teacher Tabitha, in appreciation of her hardwork and dedication teaching 3 year old children. They can be very challenging with their neverending why's coupled with the inexhaustible energy and hyperactivity. Today we honor thee for their greatest contribution, rearing the future presidents and great world leaders in the making.

Materials used: Bo Bunnies, pattern paper from sassafras, buttons, blooms from harmonie, butterfly stamped. My take for Card Patterns sketch79.

Count your Blessings....

September is almost here. Thus my subconscious is prodding me to make something special for a very special friend --- Mary Kate! She's not one of the Olsens, she's way way smarter than any of them. Ive known her since college, we used to call ourselves 'Charmed Ones'. It was a hit during that time. We were inseparable then along with Vench. She's smart ( actually, its an understatement), she's brilliant to say the least. She's a woman of true character, with a big heart, a loving spirit and a good soul. She might not know this but she is a person I always look up to with pure admiration for her kindness, generousity and wisdom. A true beauty inside and out. We are oceans apart but she remained the closest to my heart. I love you my friend. I wish and pray for all the love and the graces to continue coming your way. You know that so many people loves you, Im one of them.

Continue to count your blessings 'cause I never stopped counting you as one of the many blessings I have. Our friendship is one of my life's treasure... Happy happy Birthday Katie!

And this card is for you...

Materials used: KC&CO (pattern paper), websters pages, fiscars scalloped lace border punch, bo bunny journaling tag, ribbon belt with metallic buckle (from sookie). This is my take for Card Patterns Sketch 78.

Sophisti - - Cathy

This is a birthday project I made for a friend close to my heart. She's none other than the lady I call Sophisti-Cathy. She's a mom of two, working and busy but still finds time and the effort to dress with flair and glam...

This is my take for SC's Color challenge --- though Ive added dash of yellow and a little bit of orange to give it a little spunk...

Materials used: Cardstock and cut out patterns from Webster's pages, flowers, butterfly using martha steward monarch punch.

Round Robin - - - Scrappers@Sg

The ladies of scrappers@sg had so much fun in the whole month of July where two groups had scrap lifted a great layout from Maps. The layout had really evolved and it was nice to see how each and one of us did the layout and made it our own. And here's my take for this challenge and
Sharm's Groovie Red Challenge. Rather simple but this was really fun to make with all those past kit sassafras -- happy place.

Materials: Cardstock and pattern papers from Sassafras...

Im planning to making another layout using this. Ive got to make a new one.

Thanks for dropping by my blog...

Happy Feet

It was a holiday. And while lounging in the couch, I was caught with this funny episode of my hubby and my son. Their feet in-synch. I couldnt help but chuckle. Like father.... like son...

Challenge #36 -- Little Pencil

Facts:
Mother Teresa (26 August 1910 – 5 September 1997), born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu was a Catholic nun of Albanian ethnicity and Indian citizenship, who founded the Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata, India in 1950. For over 45 years she ministered to the poor, sick, orphaned, and dying. (Source: Wikipedia)

She had been a living saint worth emulating with the pureness of her heart. Her deeds and sacrifices to the poor is admired and has inspired many people from different walks of life. And I happen to be one of those who are trying very hard to follow her example. I hope I can do justice to her cause and try my very best to lend a hand to those in need in any way I can without second thoughts, doubts or expectation for something in return, not even a "thank you"...

And so the Blessed Mother Teresa is my inspiration for Challenge #36 Inspire/Motivate at S@SG and Scrap Dare #3 Word Challenge at Made With Love. It says " I am a little Pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the World -- Mother Teresa. Pardon on my handwriting, its slightly crooked. And by the way, this is the first time I tried misting. Its really intimidating.

Supplies used: Night Owl cutout (Pink Paislee), Flower cutouts (American Crafts- blue skies), Alphas (7 gypsies), Misting (Tattered Angels- Jazz Blue), fence (Ameroican Crafts - dear lizzy), mushroom chipboard sticker (sassafras), buttons, tree trunk (handmade) and painted with acrylic paint (Making Memories -Monarch.
