Sophisti - - Cathy
This is a birthday project I made for a friend close to my heart. She's none other than the lady I call Sophisti-Cathy. She's a mom of two, working and busy but still finds time and the effort to dress with flair and glam...
This is my take for SC's Color challenge --- though Ive added dash of yellow and a little bit of orange to give it a little spunk...

Materials used: Cardstock and cut out patterns from Webster's pages, flowers, butterfly using martha steward monarch punch.
Thanks for dropping by my blog...

Round Robin - - - Scrappers@Sg
The ladies of scrappers@sg had so much fun in the whole month of July where two groups had scrap lifted a great layout from Maps. The layout had really evolved and it was nice to see how each and one of us did the layout and made it our own. And here's my take for this challenge and
Materials: Cardstock and pattern papers from Sassafras...
Im planning to making another layout using this. Ive got to make a new one.

Happy Feet
It was a holiday. And while lounging in the couch, I was caught with this funny episode of my hubby and my son. Their feet in-synch. I couldnt help but chuckle. Like father.... like son...

Challenge #36 -- Little Pencil
Facts:
Mother Teresa (26 August 1910 – 5 September 1997), born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu was a Catholic nun of Albanian ethnicity and Indian citizenship, who founded the Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata, India in 1950. For over 45 years she ministered to the poor, sick, orphaned, and dying. (Source: Wikipedia)
She had been a living saint worth emulating with the pureness of her heart. Her deeds and sacrifices to the poor is admired and has inspired many people from different walks of life. And I happen to be one of those who are trying very hard to follow her example. I hope I can do justice to her cause and try my very best to lend a hand to those in need in any way I can without second thoughts, doubts or expectation for something in return, not even a "thank you"...
And so the Blessed Mother Teresa is my inspiration for Challenge #36 Inspire/Motivate at S@SG and Scrap Dare #3 Word Challenge at Made With Love. It says " I am a little Pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the World -- Mother Teresa. Pardon on my handwriting, its slightly crooked. And by the way, this is the first time I tried misting. Its really intimidating.

Supplies used: Night Owl cutout (Pink Paislee), Flower cutouts (American Crafts- blue skies), Alphas (7 gypsies), Misting (Tattered Angels- Jazz Blue), fence (Ameroican Crafts - dear lizzy), mushroom chipboard sticker (sassafras), buttons, tree trunk (handmade) and painted with acrylic paint (Making Memories -Monarch.

Happy Anniversary -- 28th July'10
Today is a very very special day. Its been our fourth wedding anniversary, but he still swept me off my feet like the first time I lay my eyes on him 10 years ago...It started out as "I hate you because I love you too much" that kind of feeling. In denial of the feeling. But i ended up with him.I got Lucky! Bigtime! Everytime I see my husband and our son, I fall in love all over again... and again... and again.
And So This Is It --- For Jeannevev
And the singing continues...
Happy Birthday To You!
Happy Birthday To You!
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday...
Happy Birthday To You!!!
Cheers to this wonderful celebration of life, with friends here wishing you nothing but the best, overflowing love, happiness and joy that lasts a lifetime.

And just like Buzz, I hope our friendship lasts "from Infinity and Beyond...

Sneak Peek -- Jeannevev
"When somebody loves you,
Everything was beautiful
Every hour we spent together
lives within my heart
And when she was sad,
I was there to dry her tears
And when she was happy,
So was I
When she loved me" --- Jessie's Song (Toy Story 2)
Another year has swiftly passed by for this gorgeous friend of mine -- Jeannevev. She celebrated her birthday yesterday. She had been one of the sweetest lady I've known. We became friends through her hubby who happened to be my former office colleague. We never really got to know each other way back home up until she moved here in Singapore. We've grown closer as our belly had grown the same. We were both pregrant during that time, Year 2006. She had a girl and I had a boy. And I was secretly matchingmaking my sprout to her lovely little bud.I want her to feel extra special on this day, somehow to fill the absence of her loveones. I hope she'll be happy...happy and happy with our loving thoughts of wishes of nothing but the best for her and her family.

Father of the Bride
"You know how much I love you, Daddy, But if you don't mind I'm only gonna kiss you on the cheek this time." With all that I've done wrong I must have done something right to deserve her love every morning and butterfly kisses at night... --- Bob Carlisle..
My eyes are swelling up in tears while Im writing this. I remember just how it was 4 years ago when I walked down the aisle (actually its 4years on the 28th of July). It was a day that I'll always remember. Memories which are forever stamped and embossed in my heart.
And so this the layout I came up with for S&SG using SC's Sketch 206, Black&White LO for Scrap&Stamp and stitchings for {Create}.
Handmade flowers, stamped and embossed swirl beside it, and a little bit of running stitch on the sides. Thanks Genevieve for helping me out on this. Love you my friend!

Material: All from Making Memories Wedding Collection.

Jenny & Daniel's Souvenir LO
So far this has been the first under 3-hour layout that I have done. But inspite of that, Im happy and equally satisfied with how it turned out. Lovely I should say, forgive me for saying this. I need to constantly encourage myself with praises to continue.I have to admit laziness sometimes overpower my will to do a layout. And yet sometimes, I find hugging pillows and going under the sheet is far better than holding scissors. My ex-boyfriend (now my husband) would often tell me that I sleep long like a baby, like I need 10hours of sleep. Dozing off at 9, and waking up at 7. Zzzzz...

Anyway, I feel anxious to give this to my friend. Mixed emotions somehow to know that soon in 2 weeks time, she'll not be around anymore and the morning chat that we usually have will be missed. But wherever she will be, Im so glad she has drawn enough courage to pull it off.Finally. See you around my friend, Jenny. `

I have been contemplating for a long time to start my wedding album but somehow I couldnt find the time to start it. But this challenge has lead me and gave me the opportunity. i had fun doing this layout. Started it during the scrapmeet. Cut-out flowers learned from Sookie, thanks to you! After I made one, I dont know why but I just cant stop. I must have been addicted or something. Im loving every piece of it. And here's the 1st page.
